For years I had experienced the same hot car syndrome. I love playing golf and so I often park my car at the golf club. As we hit off first tee, our only concern about the sun was that it looked like a beautiful golf day. But 18 holes later, when I returned to my car, I was hit by that massive heat wave as I opened my door. I could not believe how hot the interior of my car was, and here's the clincher....this is Calgary, Alberta, Canada, I'm talking about.

We are known for our beautiful, just-perfect summer weather. And, yet, the heat in my car was downright oppressive. That is when I started realizing how damaging those sun's rays must be to my car's interior when they are allowed to beat in for hours and hours through the windshield and window glass. That is also when I realized that, after a good golf game, I found my "high" quickly turning to "low" once I opened that car door. Here I was playing golf because I love it, yet afterwards would sit in my car, waiting for what seemed forever for it to cool down so I could drive, and wondering if it was all worth it.

I had to do something! I finally broke down and bought one of those cardboard folding sun shades. It was inexpensive so I didn't expect much, but it didn't even cover the windshield properly AND I had to struggle with it every time to put it in place. After I took it down to drive, I didn't know where to store it. The kids and the dog were whacked one too many times as I attempted to put it in the back seat. Next I bought one of the collapsible spring-type shades. It still didn't cover cover my windshield properly, and now I was getting whacked every time I attempted to open it. It became quite a challenge to conquer my fear of opening that shade. It became a challenge to find a sunshade that would fit my every need! I was becoming quite frustrated!

Finally, I came across a new type of sunshade that had just been invented. After an easy installation I found this sunshade to be the best I'd ever ever seen. It was always there, just waiting to be utilized! Storage was not an issue! It never blocked my view when driving and it covered my windshield completely when I parked. It was so easy to operate that I found myself using it for even short term parking and, best yet, coming out to my car after 18 holes of golf in the hot summer sun was a PLEASURE! I just got in my car and drove away!

My golfing friends got tired of watching me drive away while they patiently waited for their cars to cool down, and wanted to know where I had purchased this great invention. Soon, other friends were questioning me about "that neat shade" on my car. When people I didn't even know came up to me in parking lots, asking where I purchased the shade, I knew I had a winner. My own personal experience with that sunshade, and some significant design changes that made it even BETTER, started the Solar e-clips Auto Shades business.
